The Young British Artist is currently exhibiting in Edinburgh in her exciting new show "Tracey Emin 20 Years". Pop over to the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art to satisfy your curiosity! The show ends November 9th 2008.

Tracey Emin exhibits once again at Scotland's premier art institution, the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art. The exhibition boasts the artist's famous "My Bed", a piece that we have all heard plenty about over the years as well as her "Exorcism of the Last Painting I Ever Made". Her work is confessional and excitingly explicable. What we love about Tracey's shows is that there is never a dull moment in terms of content and in terms of media. All her work is produced pushing the boundaries of a wide range of media such as neon, drawing, printing and blanket applique!

Many art lovers, (me included), are fascinated by and unable to resist the allure of Tracey Emin. I first heard of her at the YBA Sensations exhibition and have been intoxicated ever since. It comes as a great thrill to me that she is exhibiting in Edinburgh providing another opportunity to enjoy her work up close.

The new Tracey Emin exhibition currently on at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art will be running until November 9th 2008. Tickets are £6. Don't miss out, it is your one chance to catch this particular exhibition. Not planned for appearing anywhere else, this is the only venue in the UK chosen to stage the show.

Tourists and Edinburgh visitors who have not seen Tracey's work should grab this opportunity with both hands. She is terrific!

Edinburgh International Film Festival
Europe's longest running film festival, the Edinburgh International Film Festival was to set the silver screens alight in the month of June instead of taking its usual slot in August. Would it turn out to be a huge success or a resounding flop? The 2008 Edinburgh International Film Festival removed of the usual August festival commotion, I'm glad to say, went on to be a resounding success. Box office figures were up 5% on 2007 proving the film festival can stand on its own two feet and doesn't need to rely on large volumes already visiting the city to fill its auditoriums. Good news film fans, the new June EIFF date seems to be jolly well here to stay!

Edinburgh Mountain Film Festival
The preparations for the Edinburgh Mountain Film Festival are currently underway. In its sixth year, the EMFF is set to be even bigger with brand new mountain film screenings, lectures by esteemed world class climbers and, as has become tradition, a world class party. The EMFF is set for 17th to 19th October 2008.
